The Mid-Atlantic Crossing (MAC) cable system is a 4,600 miles (7,500 km) of submarine cable. 

The MAC cable system was built by Global Crossing, supplied by ASN, ready for service in June 2000.

The MAC cable lands at:

• Brookhaven Cable Landing Station, NY;
• Hollywood, FL; and
• St. Croix, U.S.Virgin Islands.

The MAC cable system consists of two fiber pairs on each of its three segments:

• MAC1 segment Brookhaven-Hollywood, 2xFP with design capacity 1,070 Gbps and lit capacity 1,070 Gbps as of May 2025.
• MAC2 segment Hollywood - St.Ctoix, 2xFP with design capacity 18,000 Gbps and lit capacity 15,800 Gbps as of May 2025.
• MAC3 degment St.Croix-Brookhaven, 2xFP with design capacity 13,400 Gbps and lit capacity 9,590 Gbps as of May 2025.

The MAC cable system is now part of Cirion Technologies (formerly known as Lumen Technologies, CenturyLink) network assets, as well as Pan-American Crossing (PAC), South American Crossing (SAC), and Atlantic Crossing 1 (AC-1), AC-2/Yellow, Hawaii Island Fiber Network (HIFN), etc.

In May 2025, Cirion Technologies filed application with the FCC to renew the existing cable landing license of its Mid-Atlantic Crossing Submarine Cable System to allow the continued operation of this system for an additional 25-year term.
